Results from the Sh! Awards 2012

Last Thursday was the annual Sh! Awards, which celebrates the very best creative, student talent to come out of Yorkshire.  We were very pleased to be the main sponsors of the event, which not only gave students an opportunity to bag themselves a six-month placement, but it also raised money for the Meningitis Research Foundation in honour of Stuart Hocknell – a brilliant young designer who died from meningitis in 2002.

The event, which was held at the Round Foundry and organised by Leeds Media with support from fellow Leeds digi agency Brass, attracted an overwhelming number of entries from an array of disciplines including advertising, web design, graphic design and illustration.  The three entries that bowled the judges over were  Stephanie Ogilsby from Leeds College of Art, James Lashmar from University of Huddersfield and Polly Williams also from Leeds College of Art.

Congratulations to the winners and to everyone else who entered.  Also a big thanks to the other sponsors for helping make the event such an success.  We look forward to being part of the Sh! Awards again next year.
