Student Emma Price reflects on her two-week placement

3:28 pm on April 26th, 2011, by Lorena Liberti

I’ve just spent the last two weeks at Numiko working alongside the UX team on some of their current projects.  As a designer, my practice is driven by the delivery of information and how to make it accessible to a range of audiences.

Although I don’t specialise in design for screen, the role of interaction has always been an interest of mine and since spending time with the team at Numiko, I’ve realised how important it is to try and understand it as much as possible. Personas, user journeys and user testing are all relatively new to me but already I can see how using these methods, ideas can start to be generated in a way that puts the users first.

I admire the thorough process that happens at Numiko and I’d like to thank everyone there for giving me the chance to see what they do.
