Blue Cross wins Digital and UX Awards

Recently we announced a win at UXUK with Blue Cross taking home the award for Best Not-for-Profit User Experience. Well... we only went and did it again! Following a rigorous written submission, Isabel Reynolds and Marie Kitney gave a dazzling presentation at the Digital Experience Awards (DXA) finals last week with the Blue Cross team right by their side, bagging the award for Best Charity!

We started working with Blue Cross in 2015 and together we have transformed into a platform that truly represents all of their important work with the nation's animals. This has been achieved through an information architecture and engaging design that captures the attention of animal lovers all over the country. We love working with Blue Cross and have developed a collaborative partnership which gives us a unique insight into their avid users. Since our initial redevelopment project together, we have evolved the site by continuing to add features and crucial calls-to-action which provide proven ROI.

Numiko is understandably thrilled with their success over the year and we're looking forward to making more announcements in early 2017. In the meantime, here’s what some of the judges had to say about our strategy, design and development work:

DXA Judges Comments

"This is a great entry, and I'm not even an 'animal person'. It is one of the only entries I've judged that references end-user feedback and not just feedback from clients themselves."

"My sincere congratulations on this magnificent entry and amazing results. Great teamwork."

"Excellent partnership entry, demonstrating you really understood your customer and end-user needs and created innovative and easy to grasp solution that achieves excellent business results."

"Love the concepts and revenue generation ideas."

"Stable website to prepare for increased traffic showed good planning and strategy. Use of faceted searches and Trello and Drupal showed innovation."

"Great that Blue Cross were here. Impressive ROI."

"Strong user focus; collaborative working with end-user surveys, etc. Good emphasis on results achieved."

"A multi-aspect project approach with consideration of the full user experience."

UXUK Judge Roberto Hortal

“We’re a nation of pet lovers and this redesigned site really hits the spot. It’s a great showcase for the charity’s work – The redesign was the result of research into the charity’s various audiences - volunteers, fundraisers and the public who want to rehome a pet. It has boosted traffic to the site, with 20% more sessions year on year and twice as many people signing up for a regular donation.”
