#LeedsDigi16; Pi, Chips and Beats

As you may have heard, Numiko is psyched to be a part of Leeds Digital Festival. This year isn't just an ordinary year for digital collaborators of Leeds, this year the festival has teamed up with Live at Leeds music festival in a bid to bring an impressive crossover event to an even bigger audience... SXSW eat your heart out!

There's a whole host of events taking place across Leeds as part of the festival which takes place between Monday 25th and Friday 29th April, including a couple of our own.

Numiko's Operations Director, Adam McNichol, is hosting one of the stand out events of the festival; a panel discussion on the topic of "How Digital Is Transforming News" on the 28th April at Headrow House. Adam's panel event invites speakers from Buzzfeed, BBC Newsbeat, Yorkshire Evening Post and Sky News Online to discuss topics such as splintering audiences, websites vs social platforms and the media obsession with 16-25s.

Get you free tickets for 'LDF Panel: Are you plugged in? How digital is transforming news' at: http://bit.ly/1V6Qx82.

You can also catch Adam sitting on the panel for The Digital Debate on the 27th April, 6:30pm at Leeds Dock. Tickets are now available to see some of the city's digital leaders discuss various themes and trends from across the sector: http://bit.ly/1q5R0dH.

Our very own David Eccles is putting on a unique event which uses and demonstrates techniques and tricks to make classic synth sounds from Arduinos and Rasberry PI's. The audience is going to get involved in recreating sounds ranging from 808 kicks, Moog classics and a healthy dose of downright filthy thrown in.  As the evening progresses we are sure to see light, sound and user interaction come together. This event won't just be enjoyed by the audience, but created by them too.

Catch Dave at Headrow House on straight after Adam on the 28th, tickets are available here: http://bit.ly/1oTsGL7.

Our events aren't the only ones happening around the city, check out http://www.leedsdigitalfestival.org/ to see what's happening throughout the week. But Hurry, with less than a week before the Festival commences, we are sure tickets are soon to be nearly snapped up!
