Essential
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
Proven experience in management accounting, including preparation of monthly management accounts.
Strong proficiency with accounting software (Xero experience highly desirable).
Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modelling.
Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data.
Strong understanding of cashflow management and working capital.
Experience liaising with external accountants, payroll providers, and regulatory bodies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Highly desirable
Experience in an agency or professional services environment.
Understanding of project-based accounting and profitability analysis.
Experience coaching or supporting leaders to achieve business objectives.
Knowledge of staff cost analysis, utilisation, and charge-out rate optimisation.
Experience developing and maintaining financial dashboards and KPIs.
Familiarity with benefits administration and pension scheme management.
Bonus round

Experience with financial systems automation and process improvement.
Background in consulting or advisory roles.
Understanding of the charity, cultural, or public sector landscape.
