The purpose of client partnership at Numiko is to create long-term, mutually beneficial relationships that drive growth and success for both us and our clients.
Client Partners at mid-level play a key role in supporting and contributing to these relationships. Working closely with senior Client Partners and our expert project management team, they help ensure that the work we do is closely aligned with our clients' digital strategies, and that clients are getting the best out of our agency.
Role description
Client Partners don't deliver projects – we have a great team of expert project managers to lead on the day to day. Rather, mid-level Client Partners contribute to client relationship and financial targets, working with senior Client Partners, PMs and experts across the agency to ensure these targets are met and exceeded.
They are also active representatives for the agency, building professional networks across Numiko's target sectors and supporting thought leadership activity.
We're looking for someone inquisitive, honest, open and persuasive, who can be a trusted and credible partner to our clients. You will need to be well organised, able to work under pressure and comfortable multi-tasking, as you will contribute to several key accounts. You will report to a senior client partner.
This role is being offered as a permanent, full-time position based in Leeds, though we are always open to hearing from candidates looking for part time, flexible and hybrid working patterns, particularly those returning to work after a career break. We support remote working, but the successful candidate will be asked to come into the office at least twice a week and travel to client offices on occasion.
Your areas of responsibility will be:
Client retention
- Get to know your clients' business inside out. This means understanding their key organisational and sector challenges and opportunities, as well as understanding the client team members' worries and passions
- Build personal connections with clients and develop trust, through regular meetings, information sharing and entertaining
- Gather regular feedback from the client about our relationship with them, how the account is resourced, and the quality of the work, and share this with the wider team
- Collaborate with internal teams to continually improve client interaction. Fluent, efficient communication is critical, as is ensuring both the Numiko and client teams enjoy working together
- Help address any problems raised by the client regarding ways of working, delivery or quality of work in a warm, positive and decisive way, escalating to senior Client Partners where appropriate
- Ensure the client is fully aware of the full range of Numiko's services
- Help anticipate client needs and contribute to plans to meet them
- Support renewals by working with internal teams to ensure high-quality work is delivered and that our clients are delighted to keep working with us
Growth
- Contribute to the achievement of growth targets across key accounts
- Support the development and maintenance of account plans, helping to set clear objectives, actions and success metrics aligned to client and agency goals
- Help maintain and report on the status of your client portfolio, flagging opportunities and risks to senior Client Partners
- Work with the relevant teams within the agency to identify and position opportunities for growth within your client portfolio
- Support the business development and marketing team to ensure existing clients are engaged with the agency and all its services, and assist in the creation of quality proposals and pitches
- Contribute to the development of new products and services alongside agency experts
- Monitor client and project profitability, flagging any scope or budget concerns to senior Client Partners and taking proactive steps to keep projects on track
Quality and delivery oversight
- Support the review of deliverables before client presentation, helping to ensure solutions align with client objectives
- Working closely with Project Managers, support oversight of project delivery and help identify potential risks, flagging issues early
- Contribute to client portfolio reporting, helping to track account performance, growth targets and relationship status
Agency representation
- Be able to speak confidently about Numiko's service offering in professional networking contexts
- Proactively build relationships and represent the agency at industry events, meetups and professional networks
- Support senior Client Partners in the preparation of conference presentations, webinars and thought leadership content
- Share insights and learnings from your client experience with colleagues, contributing to a client-centric culture across the agency

Agency experience
1-2 years' digital agency experience in an account management, client services and/or business development capacity.
