Role description
Client Partners don't deliver projects – we have a great team of expert project managers to lead on the day to day. Rather, Client Partners are responsible for setting client relationship and financial targets and working with PMs and experts across the agency to ensure these targets are met and exceeded.
They are also active representatives for the agency, comfortable speaking at conferences and webinars, contributing thought leadership across Numiko's target sectors, and taking the role of consultant with C-level client contacts.
We're looking for someone inquisitive, honest, open and persuasive, who can be a trusted and credible partner to our clients. You will need to be well organised, able to work under pressure and comfortable multi-tasking, as you will be responsible for several key accounts.
This role is being offered as a permanent, full-time position based in Leeds, though we are always open to hearing from candidates looking for part time, flexible and hybrid working patterns, particularly those returning to work after a career break. We support remote working but the successful candidate will be asked to come into the office at least twice a week and travel to client offices on occasion.
Your areas of responsibility will be:
Client Retention
- Know your clients' business inside out. This means understanding their key organisational and sector challenges and opportunities, as well as understanding the client team members' worries and passions
- Make personal connections with clients and build trust, through regular meetings, information sharing and entertaining
- Solicit regular feedback from the client about our relationship with them, how the account is resourced, and the quality of the work
- Collaborate with internal teams to continually improve client interaction. Fluent, efficient communication is critical, as is ensuring both the Numiko and client teams enjoy working together
- Address any problems raised by the client regarding ways of working, delivery or quality of work in a warm, positive and decisive way
- Ensure the client is fully aware of the full range of Numiko's services
- Anticipate client needs and put in place plans to meet them
- Secure renewals by working with internal teams to ensure high-quality work is delivered and that our clients are delighted to keep working with us
Growth
- Set and achieve growth targets across key accounts
- Create and maintain comprehensive account plans with clear objectives, actions and success metrics, aligned to client and agency goals
- Proactively create, own, and report on the status of your client portfolio, and set actions to improve accounts and relationships
- Work with the relevant teams within the agency to actively identify and position opportunities for growth within your client portfolio
- Work closely with the business development and marketing team to ensure existing clients are engaged with the agency and all its services, and to assist in the creation of quality proposals and pitches
- Work with agency experts to develop and bring to market new products and services
- Take ownership of and report on client and project profitability, and take proactive steps to keep all clients within scope and budget
Quality and delivery oversight
- Review significant deliverables before client presentation and provide strategic guidance to ensure solutions align with client objectives, acting as the client's representative within the agency
- Working closely with Project Managers, maintain oversight of project delivery and identify potential risks to client relationships, addressing issues before they escalate
- Develop and maintain client portfolio reporting, providing regular updates on account performance, growth targets and relationship status to the senior leadership team
Agency representation
- Be able to speak confidently about topics that relate to Numiko's service offering in conference presentations and webinars
- Proactively represent the agency in professional networking contexts
- Support and mentor colleagues, particularly Project Managers, sharing best practices in client relationship management and helping to build a client-centric culture across the agency

Agency experience
3+ years' digital agency experience in an account management, client services and/or business development capacity.
Growth track record
Demonstrable experience in growing client accounts.

Strong judgement
